Platform Terms
By creating an account, you agree to the following:
Credits & Payments: Credits are purchased in advance and used to book services. Credits are non-refundable for cash — all refunds are issued as platform credit only. Credits do not expire. Once a job is completed and confirmed, credits are collected by the platform and cannot be reversed.
Booking & Confirmation: By confirming a booking, you authorize the assistr to begin work. If there is an issue during a job, you may end the service at any time — however, all time worked up to that point must be paid. Disputes must be raised during the job, not after completion.
Cancellations: Bookings cancelled before an assistr is assigned receive a full credit refund. Once a booking is confirmed, Standby Assistr has the right to collect the full credit amount. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the full credit amount. Repeated cancellations will be reflected on your client profile.
Ratings: Clients are rated by assistrs just as assistrs are rated by clients. Your booking history, cancellation rate, and conduct are visible to assistrs when they decide whether to accept your job. A pattern of cancellations, no-shows, or poor conduct may result in assistrs declining your bookings.
Conduct: Clients are expected to treat assistrs with respect and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward any assistr will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of remaining credits.
Platform Role: Standby Assistr is a platform that connects clients with independent service providers. Assistrs are not employees of Standby Assistr. The platform facilitates bookings and payments but is not liable for the quality of individual services performed.
