By applying to join Standby Assistr, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms. These terms are a condition of your acceptance onto the platform and form a binding agreement under the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
1. Independent Contractor Status
I understand and agree that I am an independent contractor, not an employee of Standby Assistr. I am responsible for my own taxes, insurance, and business expenses. I have the right to accept or decline any job opportunity offered through the platform. I am free to work for other platforms, businesses, or clients, and I control how I complete my work, subject to professional standards.
2. Platform Usage Terms
While using the Standby Assistr platform, I agree to: complete jobs I accept professionally and on time; communicate with clients through the platform for platform-booked jobs; maintain accurate information about my skills, availability, and rates; follow platform community guidelines and professional standards; and provide reasonable notice if I need to cancel or reschedule.
3. Confidentiality & Privacy
I agree to keep client contact information and personal details confidential, not share client information obtained through the platform for purposes outside the platform, and respect client privacy and property while performing services. Client information should only be used to complete jobs booked through Standby Assistr.
4. Rate & Payment Structure
I understand that I select my pay rate tier based on my experience and services offered. Clients purchase credits that fund my payments. I will be paid my selected rate for completed jobs (2-hour minimum per booking). Standby Assistr charges clients platform fees to operate the service. Payment is processed within 24 hours of job completion via direct deposit.
5. Platform Rights & Quality Standards
I understand that Standby Assistr limits the number of assistants on the platform to ensure consistent work opportunities for quality providers. Standby Assistr may remove assistants who violate platform terms, provide poor service, or receive consistently low ratings. Job offers are prioritized based on ratings, performance, availability, and fair rotation. These terms may be updated with reasonable notice, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
